Veronica Rivera's PledgePage to raise money for Katy Wymant

Four-year-old Katy Wymant, from Canada, is undergoing a year of therapy in Glasgow after doctors found a brain tumour during a family holiday. Katy fell ill on July 16, two days before the family - including brothers Alexander, nine, and Matthew, eight - were due to return from a month-long stay with her grandparents in Cathcart, Glasgow.

Katy has a tumour called a glioma on her brain stem at the top of her spine, and doctors at Toronto's Sick Children's Hospital refused to offer Katy the treatment she is getting in Scotland as they are sceptical of it's success rate.

Staying in Scotland is Katy's only chance of survival, and as a consequence the family are facing financial ruin as they have been left without a source of income or help from the Canadian authorities.

Katy has begun gruelling daily trips to the Beatson Oncology Centre at Glasgow's Gartnavel Hospital for radiotherapy.

Any money raised for this worthy cause will go towards helping support Katy's family and pay for her treatment, the exact cost of which is unknown as there are so many variables.
